It is a completely unhinged combination of words that makes me giddy just thinking about them.

Ill often find myself muttering them out loud when Im unloading the dishwasher or folding laundry.

Its like the season finale of language.

Battling a T. rex in an Exoprimal screenshot.

Admittedly, prior to the existence of that phrase, I was feeling a little sceptical about Exoprimals existence.

You see, Exoprimal is silly.Reallysilly.

Exoprimal is all about taking down groups of dinosaurs while wearing powerful mech suits.

The closed beta gave me four to try out, with more promised for thefinal release next year.

Zephyr, on the other hand, feels like theyve been ripped straight out of a Platinum game.

Youre never locked into one specific suit, either.

A huge horde of raptors pours towards a mech suit aiming its rifle towards them

The result is a co-operative experience that feels significantly looser and more relaxed than other titles in the genre.

If a team member isnt pulling their weight, its not necessarily the end of the world.

I guess it sort of is the end of the world, in a sense.

The city in which Exoprimals beta maps are located is being constantly invaded bya lotof dinosaurs.

Like, more dinosaurs than youd want to invade an urban centre.

Then there are the less historically accurate enemy types, which are easily my favourite.

Gas Neosaurs explode when they get too close, while the impeccably named Sniper Neosaurs (!)

spawn on buildings before launching long-range goo balls at your team.

Dripping with dark ooze, it was a formidable foe that was as dangerous as it was ridiculous.

Structurally, Dino Survival is a refreshing take on the standard multiplayer playbook.

It feels a little likeLeft 4 Deadcrossed withDestiny 2s Gambit mode, and its properly exciting.

It turns out that shooting raptors while wearing a mech suit is also just really funny.

It feels like it was made specifically for me, and it rules.

Theres also very little information about what this game evenis.

Is it secretly going to be a live service game,a la Square Enix’s Babylon’s Fall?

Is it going to be free to play?

Does it have a single-player component?

To ensure those servers are populated past its first week of release?

Worries aside, Im desperate to play more of this.

I’m saying it out loud right now.
