To be fair, the limited looks at action seem just as frantic as youd expect from Eds impressions. We see some big, beautiful environments that will likely host our battles with the behemoth monsters. The update will hit PC and PlayStation, along with an Xbox Game Pass release on the same day. Theres only one goal: get to the end. Clearing levels will grant you stronger abilities while dying will send you back to the start. Youll still retain a portion of your abilities, though, hence the roguelike aspects....

When Tango GameWorks announcedHi-Fi Rushwas getting a photo mode, I knew I was in trouble. But hot damn, what a great game it is all the same. Hi-Fi Rush is one of those games that’s just unapologetically video-gamey. All he wants to know is ‘where’s the exit’ and ‘let’s go’. Even the way it’s tackled rhythm action as a genre feels new and exciting, too. Hi-Fi Rush succeeds because it’s so gosh darn generous....

Purge is introducing a new narrative arc alongside more characters, locations, and lore. While details are sparse, if Purge is anything like the base game, itll be a banger. Citizen Sleeper is out now for 17/$20/20 onSteam, and its also available on Game Pass. The full game is also launching on PlayStation consoles on March 31st.

They’re all full of weird stuff. Notable among things I couldn’t find when I went looking for them: the bastard keys. I really enjoyed the design of the Hollywood McMansions in Dead Island 2. I appreciate the effort! How wrong I was! It took six and a half weeks. Forspoken wasn’t the only game to underperform. That’s not even a dig at these other games, plenty of which are good, too. My only dig would be that they have terrible names and often non-existent marketing. Early last year, Square Enix soldtheir western studios to Embracer Group, including Eidos and Crystal Dynamics. That seems less likely now.

I have no idea how old they are supposed to be and for some reason thats not surprising. They all have amnesia, of course, because thats a low-effort way to generate an air of mystery. This is where the frustration comes in. The same goes for navigating Rougetsu Island itself. The strength of Fatal Frame, comparatively speaking, is its atmosphere. Instead, its the grainy black-and-white flashbacks of Ruka, Misaki, and Madokas past that will haunt you....
