Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion remaster images discovered on Virtuos Games website

Ive been able to retrace Taurnils steps and access said folder. Ive asked Virtuos for comment. Is this just a remaster, then, or more of a remake? Assuming all of this is legit, it doesn’t sound like they’ve just bumped up the resolution.

A Tekken 8 modder stripped off all the fighter's gimmicks so it's "more like Tekken 5"

The mod removes the heat bar, the rage state, armoured moves, and tracking attacks. A Tekken for purists. I like the rage state - it’s my “smash glass in case of bear” button. I would miss them if they were gone. But I could certainly see a “no frills” mode like this being appealing to more grizzled Tekkenistas.

Civilization 7 being compared to Humankind is "probably the best compliment I ever got", says Amplitude boss

“I did not see that coming, to be frank.” Much coverage ofSid Meier’s Civilization VIIhas compared the Firaxis 4X to Amplitude’s 2021 releaseHumankind. Developers Firaxis have elsewhere observed that the impression of Civ cribbing notes from Humankind is an unfortunate coincidence. “But we could see from a while ago that already they were following [our work]. And it was very exciting for us, being much smaller at the time, and still is today....

Crawl 8-bit catacombs with a glowstick in first-person horror Repose

More likely, you will die of getting shot by a zombie astronaut. Here’s a trailer. Like Blue Prince, Repose invites you to make use of a notepad. Unlike Blue Prince, this isn’t because you’ll be jotting down clues about winsome dartboard puzzles. It’s because the game doesn’t have a save system. It has save codes, instead. Ah, save codes. Once a routine video game design convenience, now the province of the utter sadist....

Death Stranding 2 will let you skip bossfights and peruse them "like a novel", according to reports

In other words, Death Stranding 2 is secretly a hybrid visual novel. I jest, I jest! No visual novel would ever receive this kind of financing. They probably blew through the entire budget ofAmarantuson Troy Bakers eyeshadow. What will the Kojima faithful make of all this? Something tells me that Kojima will be granted more latitude. Also I want a pogo stick.

Plus, spend over 15/$15 and you’ll get an extra select game thrown in for free. Strategy, puzzles, weird horror undertones, and rooms that literally shift while you explore them. Its the kind of game that doesn’t explain much but still keeps you hooked. That’s how you end up buying it at 1 am because it’s “basically free....

Baldur's Gate 3's journey is almost at its end, as its last major update gets a release date for next week

It’s been a good run! It’s also quite a doozy of an update! The biggest addition to the game is definitely all the new subclasses.

Alienware's Area-51 prebuilt gaming PC can now use an RTX 5090

Dells powerhouse prebuilt just leveled up with the RTX 5090. But, yes, its expensive. Ive been keeping an eye on theAlienware Area-51reboot ever since Dell teased it at CES. That changed, and honestly, it changed for the better. I like that its ready to go out of the box. Dell’s estimated ship date is early April, and I value that kind of predictability. Ive played the prebuilt purgatory game before and its not fun....

All of Oddworld can be yours for a pound or dollar

“I was employee of the year. Now, Im dead meat.” Oh, how youll pray, for you have all the offensive capacity and resilience of a McDonalds salad. Death is frequent, and gruesomely funny. Abe might be gamings ultimate fallguy. Also funny: watching a crowd of Mudokons squeakily tip-toe past a sleeping sentry. The later Oddworld games are more of a mixture. Oddworld: Munch’s Oddyssey is an imperfect departure into full 3D platforming....

Baldur's Gate 3 is 20% off on Steam today

Big discount on a GOTY winner until April 21st. Baldur’s Gate 3is finally on sale, and it’s not a minor token discount either. This is a game that rewards every little choice and punishes carelessness in ways that somehow still feel fair. Its dense, reactive, beautifully written, and genuinely funny in the ways that matter. Its all here now. But maybe you’re the kind of player who likes to start at the beginning....

Barotrauma devs' next game is Frostrail, an icy cosmic horror co-op shooter where you get your very own train

It’s another cosmic horror co-op game, albeit with an incredibly different vibe. Just in case you were worried they weren’t really taking the cosmic in cosmic horror very seriously.
