Babylon’s Fall is shutting down in February 2023, just before its first birthday

you could read the announcement and end of service schedule in fullhere. Some more clarification about what’s going to happen would be great for us final fallers. The combat has its moments but is largely bleh. The story is meh. And it’s all yours for 60 - heh?!" I cant help but feel the games name was prophetic. As of this article’s publication, Babylons Fall is still available onSteamfor 60/$60/70....

Thats despite only developing just the single major expansion for the game. “Not just the video game format… In terms of expansions, theres just going to be one major expansion. Excellent indie horror game Mothered has a small sequel hiding in its demo

Might be my favourite horror game of 2021? It might be my favourite horror game of 2021? I don’t know. Sorry, reader dear. I’ll make up for it now. The game drips unease and oddity, demonstrating great restraint as tension mounts. A very clever and careful game. I’m still pleased every time it creeps back into my thoughts. I’m still working my way through those demos, so I might have more to point out later....

American Arcadia is a genre-flipping cinematic feast from the Call Of The Sea devs

And I wasn’t being rude; far from it! I was just so engrossed in the game’s mixture of side-scrolling platforming and first-person puzzling. Keep this under surveillance, because I think it’s going to be a real hit when it lands. The citizens of Arcadia live a happy, fulfilling life! I was genuinely gripped from the moment I stepped into Trevor’s shoes. One section saw me enter a dark warehouse, with malfunctioning spotlights inspired by the ever-eery 2D platformer Inside....

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage’s 18+ rating leads to online speculation that it’ll include real-money gambling

ResetEra user Modiz kicked off the debate by posting a link to the US Xbox store page for Mirage. Very few games receive an Adults-Only rating from the ESRB. you’ve got the option to see a comprehensive list of exactly what has to-datehere. Hardly any have been given out for gambling, with most being for sex and violence. Im highly skeptical that Mirage would actually include gambling that might involve genuine money somehow....

Forspoken looks like a faster, zippier FF15 in fiery new gameplay footage

Alas, we weren’t privy to this Forspoken demo, so have a watch with us below. The preview shows off one of the fiery abilities of just one of those Tanta, Sila. Happily, therell be loadouts so you might swap around between sets of spells on the fly. Another useful, and familiar, move is the zip ability. This functions much likeMonster Hunter Rises wirebug, or Noctiss teleporting fromFinal Fantasy XV. Its possible to use the zip to, well, zip towards enemies for attacks too....

Gloomwood's grimy stealth playground deserves better than the agony of early access

“Let me in!!” you scream, as you hammer on the silent portal. “I really like Thief! I want to throw more decapitated heads as lures!” But Gloomwood as is ends at the city gates. Gloomwood believes in show don’t tell, which I greatly admire. A mysterious stranger sets you free and gives you a ring, and ambles into the night. You work with what you have. There was a lighthouse in the distance....

Assassin's Creed Infinity still exists, is still a confusing Assassin's Creed live service, maybe?

I still do not have any idea how Infinity is going to function. It’s not a game, fine. So is it a kind of platform? Will it have a subscription cost, or premium price point for extra services? All the questions and more went unanswered during tonight’s livestream. They’re just “on the horizon”.

Assassin's Creed is finally heading to feudal Japan, plus one with Blair Witch vibes

It includes new DLC for Valhalla, and a mysterious horror-ish tease. And it’s set in feudal Japan. Expect a huge open world that you won’t 100% before you die, probably. The other interesting tease was for another flagship game, this time being developed at Ubisoft Montreal. This, too, only has a codename:Hexe(pronounced “heck-say”). The name and the tease together lead me to believe it’s a horror-y witch game. At least, I will be very surprised if it’s a feel-good romcom....

Assassin's Creed Mirage is going back to the series' roots in 2023 for the 15th anniversary

This milestone has made me realise that the Creedsperience has taken up almost half of my current lifespan. At least, that’s what it sounds like Ubi are going for. But “it’s like the old ones you enjoyed before!” seems to be Ubisoft’s explicit mission statement for this game. Like I said, the old thing with new faces and fancier SFX. In fairness, at least one of the faces in Mirage isn’t that new....
